| press release: From June 25-30, OLN brought the top contenders in action sports to Camp Woodward, where Freestyle Motocross, Bike and Skate Vert competitions took place. The event then moves to FDR Skatepark in South Philadelphia from July 11-13. Located beneath Interstate 95, FDR has a reputation as one of the toughest skate parks in the country. Built by skaters, for skaters back in 1994, the park's permanent bowls, hips, ramps and attitude provide an ideal fit and backdrop for the Skate and Bike competitions. The event crew will repair and build additional features for the competition. | |

| www.expn.com: The 2005 Gravity Games Vert contests went down at Woodward on June 29 and 30. Jamie Bestwick won by a point and a half over surprise second-place finisher Dennis McCoy. Not that Dennis didn't deserve second placehe threw 540 barspins and floated nosewheelies across the deck like the AFA Flatland champion he is. Kevin Robinson took third, and was barely half a point in front of Dave Mirra. None too happy after nose-diving to flat on a 540 tailwhip, Dave left before Best Trick even started. John Parker won Best Trick with a tailwhip to barspin and Chad Kagy took second doing a barspin to tailwhip. |

| press release: Gravity Games Bike Dirt competition took place at FDR on Wednesday. The event crew built a dirt course from the ground up. Ryan Guettler dominated OLNs Gravity Games Bike Dirt competition, presented by Saturn, with a 720, double tailwhip and front flip all in the same run, landing him a spot at the top of the podium. Luke Parslow pulled a backflip tailwhip and a front flip in the same run to grab the silver, and Joey Marks claimed bronze with a first-ever double tailwhip backflip pulled in competition. www.etnies.com, july 2005: Morgan Wade flew to Philly to compete in the Gravity Games at FDR much to the dismay of some local skaters. During a practice session there was some dumb ass skater trying to get bikers to run duct tape on their pegs, so the skater threw the tape at Morgan to put on his bike, Morgan threw it back to the guy and then the same guy decided it would be a good idea to throw a bottle at Morgan, the skater got ejected. |
